The name was suggested by Sonya Cohen back in Washington when were thinking about writing a blog to share our experiences with friends and family during our six months in Argentina.
It wasn’t until we were in a mountain cafe in Tierra del Fuego looking at a clever upside-down map that we realized how apt the name is. The very notion that North is the “upside” is an arbitrary one. It could very well be the other way around!
This period in the American “down under” is an opportunity for us to look at the world in a different way. The flip side will describe some of these reflections in the context of some of our adventures and other more day to day experiences.
